I think the first one was the best due to it difficulty and variety

I have played 1,3,and 4 four was ok though kinda short in my option

but it was the only DMC i had done fully to hell and hell difficulty on the 360

Its a decent franchise but i don't like the new look for dante adn the new game doesn't look all that good. I don't even get why devil trigger = white hair. This would suggest dante was permenantly in devil trigger as he gets older.

Well the first was fantastic, the 2nd was good, 3 (Special Edition) was great and 4 was good. I didn't quite care for Nero though in 4, so much happier when play resumed with the older Dante!

I played the first three, although my fingers did not enjoy the experience as much as my mind. During the first parts of the third they felt like they wanted to fall off. I did like the series, but stopped after hearing the fourth wasn't as good and was too short at that.

The upcoming title just isn't convincing me from what I've viewed.

From the trailer I've seen of the new DMC I can't say I'm impressed with Dante. Is it Dante as a wee lad or is it Dante Jnr? Did Dante have a thing with Lucia from DMC2 and this is their offspring and is actually Dante Jnr. I actually can't remember what happened in DMC2, I just remember lots of Diesel designed clothes.

Ninja theory decided to make the game look like one of the team members. They are a terrible copany and have never delivered on any of there games. Capcom are insane for putting this franchise in there hands. Also that definitely is Dante new footage has shown devil trigger gives that dante white hair.

Which makes no sense seeing as Dante with white hair devil triggers to...

... ninja theory? i cant remember which game of thiers i played but it wasnt that good and lol didnt dante have white hair to begin with so why bother?
he should just turn in to sparda again like the first one ;)

Ninja Theory did Heavenly Sword which I thought was great and also did Enslaved: Odyssey To The West which I've only played a little of and from what I've played that's pretty good too. So I will reserve judgement on the new DMC until I've played it. After all who can make an informed decision purely on video? Although I can't stand Dante's design!
Oh and Ninja Theory also did Kung Fu Chaos for the Xbox.
