Mystic Heroes Anyone?

I'm assuming other people on this forum owned this game, although I can't imagine it is that popular. When I purchased it, about the age of 12, I was aware that it was created by Koei.
It is quite an interesting spin-off game, fun to play with friends, I found the most interesting feature of the game is it's multi player game, 4 people split screen weather or weather not you had 4 people playing (you and 3 computer controlled players).
Despite being rather childish... Due to almost every character being a child, the game itself was rather mature and the storyline sparked minor interest.
What do you think of it?

Mystic Heroes was a fun little game. Never owned it myself, but I used to go play it at a friends house back when I was in school.

If you didn't know, Taigong Wang off the Warriors Orochi series's image, is based of Tai from Mystic Heroes. Just thought to tell those who don't know, as I've never played this title before personally.

I got this game a while back. It's fun little game but although it looks like it's aimed at kids the game is actually quite challenging.

The Gamecube version, did KOEI not make/publish that one? It doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere.

well i have the gamecube version and koei is writen on the back so i agree with you on that one. I am also a little confused.

Also i love that game and still due.

I agree, myself and three friends had trouble completing the split screen free mode once round.

Oh I love Mystic Heroes!

The multiplayer modes were soooo hard! I loved playing the last map and going hard out with my mates.... oh the memories! haha.

If that game was remade with more levels and deeper controls with the option of online multiplay i think it'd do quite well.

but then again thats how you get new games haha

Oh yes, with online multiplayer it definately would be popular because there'd be no other game like it but I suppose they'd be better off taking that feature and placing it onto Dynasty Warriors because it's a more well established series and game.

that's an awesome idea! I dream to have it on PSP, I remembered I bought it on PS2 but it was quite hard :s I struggled a lot at the end so I gave up on it.

Mystic Heroes is indeed a hard game >.<

There's Mystic Heroes RPG + SLG KOEI released in Japan like 10+ years ago and it didn't exist here it's all in Japanese, that game was developed by KOEI's Fu Qi not KOEI's Omega Force that time so I think the chances bringing it would be like 0. :D

I love that game very very much it has a lot of very very awesome BGMs too! It may look like FF Tactics or Tales of Eternia from the screenshots but it really isn't for the real one, it's so good :)
