Your favourite Dynasty Warriors character?

He's been my favourite since they added him. His C3 (or is it C2?) move is pretty useful for shooting people, plus I liked his cool weapon. They may have cloned him for DW6, but doesn't mean I stopped playing as him, because he is so cool :cool:

^What I like about Cao Ren the most is his voice acting and voice. His dialogue seems to be pretty cool as well.

Zhao Yun ever since DW2. Always liked his attitude and appearance, not so much in DW4 though. Wasn't really in favor of that barbarian look, and I think Koei decided to ditch it since his DW5 costume went back to its roots. So my favorites are his DW3 and DW6 outfits.

For some reason Cao Ren is one of those characters I always ignore. I should play as him on DW6.

It would be a toss-up between Guan Yu and Ma Chao, they are both excellent spear wielders, As for costumes I would go with DW5 and DW6, they both look alright.
Tought I don't like their Awakening forms that much. =/

Huh, since this doesn't cover a specific game I'll just use one that I always liked. I would have to say Dynasty Warriors 4: Zhuge Liang/Sima Yi. I always found those two interesting to use in that game, and down right fun to play. They both started out decent as well, if I would chose someone else It would be Sima Yi from Dynasty Warriors 2. I miss that sword.

In DW2 I loved Zhou Yu. I am still a fan of him now, I really like Sun Ce also, Xiahou Dun, Ma Chao, Zhao Yun...

I find Dian Wei pretty useful in the empires games.

Sun Quan without a doubt. I started to get into him since I discovered his true musou attack in DW5. I couldn't stop playing him since then. His moves are pretty easy to handle in large crowds. He has such an amazing voice thanks to Skip Stellrecht which suits he very well. He looks good with or without beard which is why I love his designs either way.

Pang De for me, too, weapon is somewhat very impressive, musou mode lacks and he is boring, but I remember in DW5 it is mentioned that he is "nothing flashy", so this IS part of his character! Like you said, an essential part of the Wei army.

if I had to pick my fav character, it would be Xiahou Dun. Although it is tricky, because I love both Cao Cao AND Xiahou Dun.

I love him! Love his hair, weapon, and just him (hint my name) :D
I prefer him in DW6 to the other games, he looks much better.

I prefer his voice in DW4 and 5 though.

SSX is my favorite character, she was the first character I tried, and still now I'm addicted. She has nice weapons, strong moveset, cool look and personality. But only until DW5.

in second it has to xiahou dun cant really say im jumping for joy about his new appearence my favourite attire was his dw 2 attire and move set and it was his best hair style

and in third its gotta be pang tong mainly for his chilled out mood and greay sense of humor like one line from a cutscene in dw4 zhao yun was talking about his loyalty an will to fight and he was really on high note and pang tong just said good for you

i totally agree! Pang De was great! he could be a bit faster, but he was strong and cool! BRING HIM BACK KOEI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zhou Tai and Xiahou Dun. Zhou Tais "Setsuna" in DW 4 can hit a huge range and Xiahou Dun for all around usefulness.

Ok so I know I said Sun Jian is favourite and he still is but I've been playing as Zuo Ci in DW5Xtreme Legends and he is powerful. So he's becoming a firm favourite now.

I started to play Dynasty warriors series on DW4(It was the first PS2 game i ever player BTW :D ) and since then i could not stop playing.

My Favorite characters are as follows:

Zhang Fei- I really like those ones who goes berserking like crazy towards a big crowd of enemys. Besides, his sayings are usually fun to hear. He was also cool on Chang Ban level, when he taunts Cao Cao army on the bridge.

Zhang Liao- He has some nice moves and good story. Worthy the time to unlock and play.

Zhuge Liang- In DW4, he is the best dueler IMO. Even Lu Bu was no match for him in a duel(Assuming you had an orb and at least has your musou bar full). His 2nd charge attack was actually great, since it either breaks enemy guard OR the AI gets confused, and you just need yto use his first charge attack to completely destroy your enemys.

Also, his ploys and strategies are something beyond belief. Taunt someone even after death is something i admire to see.

Last, but by no means least, Lu Bu.

Besides being an insane killing machine, i like his taunts to the enemy and his sayings. In DW6, his musou was actually fun, even thought it was a bit repetitive(Almost every level your main objective was to destroy anything that doesn't appear in blue on the mini-map lol)
I also like DW6 last level, when he faces everyone form every dynasty. Finnaly a fight that was worth of him!

Mine has always been Gan Ning, I've always loved his quick running Musou, I was a bit surprised about the character changes in DW6 although I still like him but his other musou was the best

My fave character has to Lu Xun. He's probably the character, which got me truly hooked onto the DW series. I really like the way he looks (especially when he is hatless) and his personality. I also like his moveset both his old and new one, plus I like how he is a fast moving character too.

I like Lu Xun. He's a good strategist and is trying to bring back his family name. I thought he looked super cool in DW6 (except for all of those dumb feathers). I really liked his weapon better too. His move set is great if it's at full renbu. He's also really easy to use.

i really like Zhuge Liang. his strategy's were unmatched for his time, he was the greatest minnd under the heavens while he lived. its a shame he doesn't look very good now. i also love Zhang Liao, such awesome might. to holdback 10,000 wu soldiers with so few. he's just awesome

Zhen Ji. DW3-5 I like her no nonsense attitute, she wasn't a silly girl like some of the others. I did think she was funny being able to knock so many people out with just a flute. lol

I also liked Gan Ning DW3-5 and Yue Ying in DW6 and Ling Tong he was so funny when he Gan Ning meet in DW5. I also Lu Xun's moveset.

Lu Xun has really grown on me i used to hate him, especialy his costumee but his new moveset and voice and costume have made him one of my favourite characters. hes easily my 2nd best char. almos my best.

My favorite has always been Zhou Yu, he was the first character i ever played and he will always be the first character i play in any of the DW games. He looks cool and i have always loved every single one of his move sets.

Although, i have to agree with One Eyed Dragon about Zhou Yu in DW6.

Zhou Yu looks cool from the waist up but the boots just ruin his look sometimes. I hope Koei changes the boots in the future games. his rod is amazing thoughh and they should keep that.

Zhao Yun...
Ever since I laid eyes upon him in the DW5 opening, I've been smitten ever since. His move set is both beautiful and deadly, plowing easily through both officer and crowds alike. Both his English and Japanese VA are music to my ears. He was my first favorite Dynasty Warrior and always will be. :D

I'm a devout Shu-ist. :p My favorite character is Wei Yan, with Huang Zhong, Cao Ren, and Guan Ping following. The former three because they're all such unique characters, and I love how they're portrayed in and out of the novel. Lex Lang as Cao Ren's voice actor is amazing. :o

Sun Shang Xiang - Cause i love the whole "girls are strong and can be just as good as men" attitude goin on which is so true and i love the moveset and the chakrams they are AWESOME and loved the story line. i could go on but i wont...although i cant stand her in DW6...i mean the bow and moves were good but argghh the squekey voice?!?!?! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!! Wnd she does not suit the whole girlie-girl act or the clothes its just...argh...no, just no!! She was completley Ruined!!!

also like the Qiao sisters in DW5 but Xiao's moveset was better even if she was so childish and Da Qiao was too mature if ya get me drift...

Boy -
Sun Ce - he's just cool in general...deal with it...Tonfa's are awesome, attitude awesome..always laid back and fun.., looks awesome and moveset awesome

Like Gan Ning too, musou (did i spell that right??) was useless to me unless you needed to get away but love the rough care free attitude...looked like a bird with the feathers in DW6

Girl - only Zhen Ji there but she was awesome LOVED the moves, flute, outfit, attitude and voice...overall i loved the character

Boy -
Xiahou Dun - not really lovin the blokes in Wei but he has good weopons and moves and story and such


SHU -
Girl - Xing Cai - i know she was only in the fith but her moves are awesome along with her weopon, the voice suits her so it wasn't as anoying as DW6's SSX

I hate Yue Ying with a passion....

Boy - Zhang Fei - his weopon is cool, moveset is great as well, love the attitude the whole "let me at em so i can go back to drinking" kind of thing

But Pang Tong had the best moveset and musou

OTHER -
Girl - Zhu Rong - absolutly LOVE the whole " I am in charge & you will cower before me and obey!!!" attitude and her weopon is sooo cool!!! and her moves

i do like Diao Chan the maces are cool and her voice actor is good in DW5..her clothes are alright

Boy - Lu Bu - Stikes fear into the heart of many...kinda like me....everyone is scared of him and so they should be...Power, great weopon, great moves, cool armor..not so much with the looks so yeah..

Wei- Without a doubt Jhen Ji!
she was my favourite female character from DW3 all the way to now DW6E, love her new apperance and weapon, love her poisonous personality and sarcastic vocabulary, shes one of those real "looks can be decieving" a very powerful warrior, but beautiful and elegant at the same time. Think the whip suits her much more than diao chan, if anyone was to get a flute back should be diao chan, she is the one into all the dancing and stuff.

Shu- Zhuge Liang
Always liked the mage type players and his new move set in DW6 really has bought out the power in him, looks much better to!

Wu- Ling Tong and sun shang xiang
SSX- always liked her hoops but prefer her new bow and new look, her personality is much better to!
Ling Tong- Prefered him in the earlier games but his still cool in DW6/DW6E and his new triple nunchuck weapon rocks!

Other- Zuo Ci and meng huo
Zuo Ci- again, because i like the mage type warriors and his whole moveset is based on magic, he should be a definet return in dynasty warriors!
Meng Huo- Never really liked him until DW6E, his move set is over the top and powerful, he is a witty character to, enjoy playing as him!

Overral favourite character- JHEN JI!!

Sun Shang Xiang, especially in DW6 + + LOVED her in the chinese version of red cliff (film)

Love Zhen Ji's attitude and bitchyness, and think the whip is perfect for her
